Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to get a 3D/4D/5D ultrasound?

You can get a 3D/4D/5D ultrasound at any time during your pregnancy.

First Glimpse: MUST be at least 8 weeks. Fuller figured mothers ~   10 weeks

Glimpse of Gender: MUST be at least 14 weeks. Fuller figured mothers ~ 16 weeks

Glimpse of Love/Deluxe: 28-34 weeks. Fuller figured mothers ~ 31-35 weeks

Is 32 weeks the cut off time to get a 3D/4D/5D ultrasound?

Aside from what you've been told or read online; the assumption of baby running out of room past 32 weeks is further from the truth. I frequently recommend coming in later in your pregnancy because the further along you are, the more detailed and defined your baby's face is. Some of the best photos I've scanned has been 32-34 weeks. I have gotten great images on babies up to 37 weeks!

Are elective ultrasounds safe?

3D/4D/5D    ultrasound uses the same intensity and  frequency as your doctor uses in the normal 2D ultrasound. Ultrasounds have been used for over 35 years and there have been no proven side effects from its proper use.

Is it guaranteed that I will get a perfect photo?

Unfortunately there is no guarantee we will get a perfect photo of baby. I do my best to capture the best images possible. There are many things out of the sonographer’s control like  baby’s positioning, mother’s body habitus, amount of amniotic fluid, location of placenta, etc.    Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water the week leading up to your appointment to help produce clear images.

Do you accept insurance?

No, insurance does not cover    elective ultrasounds at this time. We accept card and cash. Clients in the past have successfully used their HSA card, but please bring a second form of payment just in case the HSA card does not go through.

Do you charge double for twin pregnancy?

I do not charge double, but each additional  fetus will be +$25 for Glimpse of Gender, and each additional fetus will be +$50 for Glimpse of Love/Deluxe.

Are friends and family able to join?

Yes!  Sharing this unique bonding experience with  your friends and family  is very special and I want you to  feel as comfortable as possible.  The ultrasound viewing room  can comfortably seat 4 people, but more are welcome if they would like to stand  and watch.  The ultrasound is viewed on a 65" tv screen so everyone is able to see.
